The Orc Blog: Dream Disc '24 - The Winners!

by Ross Kilgariff - 2025-03-07 - 6:29pm

After much deliberation, our team of judges has decided on their top picks for the first ever Dream Disc game jam competition! If this is your first time hearing about it, check out some of the submissions from the Dreamcast development community with The Dreamcast Junkyard's showcase video:

Thanks so much to everyone who submitted their project! If you weren't picked this time around please don't be disheartened - it was a very close call, and we're planning to run the jam again next year so you'll have another chance 😊

Scoring

To work out the positions, each judge provided a list of their top 10 submissions in order. Each position on the list was then assigned points (10 points for 1st, 8 points for 2nd, 6 points for 3rd and 3 points for any other position). Points totals were then calculated and the final ranking was determined based on these totals.

As two submissions were tied on points for 3rd place, we looked at which submission appeared more in the judges' top 3 lists as a tie breaker.

Drum roll please 🥁
